One note of caution: Basement remodel for the entire mountain west shows a return of about 82%. This figure is lower for the Colorado Front Range, including the Pueblo area. The cost to professionally finish a basement in this area is about $25/sq.ft. and the return when you sell you home will generally be in the $10 range, which is a return of less than 50% on your investment. However if you need extra space for your use, finishing a basement is cheaper than adding on to the main level.
