PUEBLO WEST
WHERE EAGLES SOAR!
Pueblo West is located about 5 miles west of the city of Pueblo and provides a totally different living environment compared to the city. As of 2010 the population is about 35,000 and demographically is much like the rest of the Colorado Front Range. The community covers as much area as the city but it much less densely populated. Most of the houses have been built after 1990 and most are on lots bigger than you would find in the city. Lake Pueblo & Pueblo State Park lie at the south boundary of Pueblo West and make up a major playground for the community.
The community has been a magnet for families and has seen tremendous growth in it's youth population resulting in many of it's schools being new in the past 10 years. Pueblo West High School has enjoyed tremendous success rising to the 4A classification and has brought home numerous state championships which is a major source of pride to the community.
Even the climate is slightly different than the City of Pueblo. Nights are warmer and days are about 3 degrees cooler. Weather wise, it is somewhere between Pueblo and Colorado Springs, and just about perfect!!.
And the mountain views can be spectacular - it's what you live in Colorado for. The air quality is also about as good as you find anywhere in the State!
And with the wonderful City of Pueblo less than 10 minutes away, you have just about all the amenities you could want! What a perfect combination - semi country living with a first class small city just a stones throw away!

Anne and Rich Selle have lived in Pueblo West since 1993 and have watched it grow and change. We lived in Summit County (Dillon, Breckenridge) & looked all over the state of Colorado for about 5 years to select the perfect place to live and P.W came out on top. Previously we had lived in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Durango, Boulder County, Salida, & Summit County before moving here so we have some nice places to compare Pueblo West to. We love it here! And Eagles do soar here - both literally and figuratively!
